Kaloko-Honokōhau National Historical Park in Hawai’i is an ideal place to study the electrical conductivity (EC) of natural waters. The NSEOC has developed a backpack available for loan from the park that contains everything educators need to have up to 30 students work in seven small teams with professional grade equipment. There is safe and easy access to rainwater, groundwater, brackish water from an anchialine pool, and seawater at the park.
